Dr Susan Watson
PhD, PG Dip Clin Psych, MNZCCPsych Registered Clinical Psychologist
Susan graduated from Massey University in 1993 with a MA (Hons) Psychology and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology. Susan has spent the last 10 years lecturing in psychology at Massey University, as well as working at the Massey University Psychology Clinics (both in Wellington and Palmerston North). Her doctoral research investigated the etiology of depression in an adult clinical population. Prior to her lecturing work, Susan worked as a Clinical Psychologist in a variety of clinical settings, including The Corrections Department and Capital and Coast District Health Board (Elderly and Rehabilitation Services and Community Mental Health).
She now combines private practice work, with supervision of other psychologists, teaching within the Clinical training programme at Massey University and being a Clinical Advisor on the Toward Well Being Suicide Consultation and Monitoring Programme.
