Eliza's passion is Whanau Ora and working within Health Services that reduce inequalities and enhance Whanau Ora. She has professional and personal experience of suicide and suicide attempts and knows the impact and devastation on whanau.

Eliza is a Registered Comprehensive Nurse and Company Director with over 35 years experience working across a diverse range of Secondary and Primary Health Services including Maori and Pacific Island PHOs, NGOs and Maori Health Trusts mostly within the Tai Tokerau and Tamaki Makaurau regions.   Her experience ranges from clinical assessment and referral, education and group facilitation and education, Service Delivery Management, designing and implementing Maori Models of health and working collaboratively and in partnership across a diverse range of cultures and health service providers and consumers rural and urban. Eliza brings professional and cultural expertise as well as her life skills as a mother and grandmother.

Eliza's roles with CASA are Service Development Coordinator of the Maori Specialist Counselling Service in 7 DHB regions and Cultural Liaison and Support for the Community Postvention Response Service across NZ.
