"Oh, Let's Just not Talk About it: Challenges and Opportunities in Preventing Patient Suicide."
Dr. Quinnett will address the challenges and opportunities for the detection, assessment, and management of suicidal patients in primary care settings. He will focus on current problems with suicide screens and the assessment of immediate risk, and will offer solutions for enhancing patient's safety by reducing the three most common preventable medical errors.

The presentation can be oriented to problems, offer solutions, and sharing of QPRI's current research project using QPR as a medical screen for suicide risk, but not teach QPR or a risk assessment protocol.
